Live music every night!
One of the very few places in Victoria which offers live music 7 nights a week with NO cover charge, with so many choices of drink on tap the Bard & Banker offers you the same diverse selection musically. We feature mostly local artists from Victoria with others coming from surrounding islands and the mainland.
Sunday night is our Unplugged series which is drawing from the idea of the MTV unplugged series where all the music was acoustic and preformed interactively with the audience. With the addition of a baby grand piano to our stage our entertainers know no bounds with the selection they can pull from.
Music starts nightly at 8:30pm and plays until midnight, plenty of time to pop in for a meal and some entertainment or simply just somewhere to grab a night cap and catch up.
Tonight's Artist: Geoff Lundstrom
Geoffrey Lundstrom, born June 10, 1987 in Nelson BC is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. At the age of 6, Lundstrom began taking speech arts and singing lessons from his Grandmother who also had him performing in front of an audience. Although his father always had a guitar around the house, Geoff did not have much of an interest in playing it until he came across a CD that his Dad brought home called Bad Habits by Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist Colin James. A few months later Geoff attended a Colin James concert, which set the foundation for a life of guitar playing. Geoff started out with taking private guitar lessons for three years prior to spending two years at the Selkirk College Contemporary music program in Nelson BC. During high school Geoff became interested in guitar greats such as Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and of course Colin James. The more recent artists like John Mayer, Jonny Lang, Keb’Mo’ and Dave Matthews have all inspired Geoff to take on music from a songwriting perspective and meld his guitar playing to solid meaningful lyrics to create music that is new and original, but also sound classic.
